They say it only takes a spark to light a flame and in the case of Townsville business, Collective Candles, the path to success is well and truly alight!
From humble beginnings in her one-bedroom flat in Brisbane, founder of Collective Candles, Danelle Bayley has turned her passion project into a household name in Townsville. Over the last six years, which included a sea-change from the big smoke to North Queensland, the business has grown from strength to strength and this month moves into its very first commercial premises located in the new commercial precinct, behind Domain Central on Greg Jabs Drive.
Danelle says she is excited for this next phase of her business.
“Support for our products has been incredible and we have now outgrown our home-based space,” she says.
“By moving into our very own commercial premises, we can tap into the national wholesale market whiles maintaining product distribution through our local stockists like Renegade Handmade Gift Shop.”
As the business expands, Danelle sees the move as an opportunity to increase their wholesale revenue to the North, support Townsville’s small business community and create jobs for regional Queenslanders.
Collective Candles will undergo a rebranding to increase appeal to the national market and Danelle has employed the services of graphic designer Kyla Flanagan from The Content Stylist and local Townsville artist, Tania Melick from Cave&Reki.
“Having worked with Danelle on a signature North Queensland range, Collective Candles’ products truly embody the region, in scene and appearance,” says Tania.
“The new branding offers a chic and modern look that is still on point with the region and I’m excited for these candles to literally and figuratively light up Australia.”
Danelle is opening the new studio and warehouse to the public for a special open day on Saturday 30th July. More details are on Collective Candles Australia’s Facebook page.
