Hello, we’re Bede and Mick, two dads with day jobs and busy lives who dedicate our time to become better storytellers, and maybe one day, great filmmakers. We love sharing the journey and our skills with storytellers and content creators in our community and invite you to participate in our video creation workshops.
Michael is an award-winning content creator who has produced audio and video for the ABC, BBC, National Geographic, local government, and more.
Bede uses video to document the joys of life and share great ideas through short films and music videos.
Together, we are Duck Ruckus and we love to collaborate and help people create compelling video content to help Townsville develop a vibrant content creation industry. We invite you to participate in our next round of free filmmaking workshops.

The most important thing is to gather people together who love to make great content to learn from each other, collaborate, create, and improve storytelling and content production knowledge and skills.
Every opportunity to learn from creative people builds your toolkit and your network of collaborators and helps you to execute your vision better. We’re also going to introduce creative techniques more commonly used in other industries which adds a new perspective for content creators when approaching creative projects.
Finally, we want to see great video content being made by workshop participants and are thrilled to have an opportunity to lead people through the process.
We are really excited to collaborate with DakTech, especially to see the new Maker Space in action and experience DakTech’s culture for problem solving through creativity and innovation.
We’d also like to acknowledge that this workshop series is part of a Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF), which is a partnership between the Queensland Government and the Townsville City Council to support local arts and culture in regional Queensland.
