Locally owned business, Co. Habitat Co-Working Space has claimed victory in two categories of the recent APAC Insider Business Awards 2023.
The awards shine a spotlight on companies and individuals across the globe who are changing the business landscape in their region.
Co. Habitat Co-Working Space was anonymously nominated for the two categories and underwent a merit-based judging process, which not only saw them take out this year’s Best Coworking and Shared Office Space in Queensland, but also the APAC Insider Special Recognition Award for Business Growth.
Joshua Roberts, Company Director at Co. Habitat Co-Working Space, which opened its doors in Townsville in 2018, says they are thrilled to have gained this international recognition.
“As a small business owner, you certainly don’t go into it for the awards,” says Joshua.
“Our original goal was to provide small businesses an affordable, flexible alternative to traditional leases. To see so many of our members grow their business and take on that next stage has been the most rewarding part of it all.
“As a result of Covid, we also have a number of large national companies making use of our space.”
Paul Menti, a Financial Specialist at Mortgage Masters Queensland, has been a long-term member of Co. Habitat Co-Working Space and notes the role it has played in helping grow his business.
“Mortgage Masters Queensland has been a member of Co. Habitat for nearly five years,” says Paul.
“Our local business has grown from a single desk space to private office with an extra broker.
“Co. Habitat has provided the perfect work space for us. It is always well staffed, maintained and clean. It has many different types of businesses working within, creating a very interesting, diversified atmosphere with a great vibe.”
