In a significant stride towards enhanced men’s health care, Townsville welcomes the groundbreaking Verve Men’s Clinic, regional Queensland’s only facility dedicated to providing comprehensive treatment options for erectile dysfunction (ED) and other men’s health concerns.
Founded by Co-Directors, Dr Philippe Wolanski (Urologist) and Dr Jonathan Fenton (GP), Verve Men’s Clinic has emerged in the North as a beacon of hope for men seeking clearer treatment pathways and access to state-of-the-art procedures in regional Queensland.
“Townsville is a city which continues to struggle to keep a constant number of qualified doctors and medical professionals in its area. I was born here, grew up here and studied here. In order for the city to thrive and continue to grow, I want to see the region access exactly the same healthcare as metro areas,” says Dr Philippe.
As the first of its kind in Townsville, this clinic stands tall as North Queensland’s exclusive destination for men’s health needs. Verve Men’s Clinic have redesigned the solutions for men in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. In addition to all standard medical and surgical therapies for ED, they are also offering men access to emerging treatments such as platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy and shockwave therapy, which aim to correct the underlying problem and reduce or eliminate the need for any ongoing medication.
GP Dr Jonny explains the true number of ED sufferers is still unknown.
“Many men are still reluctant to discuss erection problems with their usual GP, due to the shame they feel or embarrassment. Current research shows that fewer than half of men with ED problems will seek treatment, and for those that do, they suffer for an average of one to three and a half years before finally seeking help.”
