DON’T EVER GET CAUGHT OUT BY A POWER OUTAGE AGAIN

If you sat down and wrote a list of things you could depend on, it’d go something along the lines of:

  1. Getting jocks and socks off your parents for Christmas
  2. Game of Thrones killing five (at a minimum) of your favourite characters
  3. Townsville never getting more rain than Tully
  4. ‘Friends’ always being the best hangover series

And so on. You know, average run of the mill stuff.

What you can’t depend on, is your power staying on without fail. We all have those needy 24/7 appliances (think fish tank, security systems, restaurant fridges) that need constant power.

That’s where PWRON comes in.

“It notifies you that your power is out when it should effectively be on,” says PWRON Co-Founder Adam Lam.

“[It provides] reassurance that your house is powered and your fish tanks are safe, your security systems are safe. Without our device you do not know this. You’re away from home and you’re only playing the guessing game.”

You won’t need fancy gadgets to keep an eye on it either, with devices and users able to monitor power outages over WiFi.

“The PWRON plug, once powered and activated, will send a pulse through to the receiving server. Once the receiving server doesn’t receive a pulse it sends a notification to the user.” Says CEO and Co-Founder Tim Pellegrino.

This means you can put a plan together faster than ever before, which is particularly helpful for those in the food industry who are looking to avoid waste or potential food poisoning.

Adam and Tim already have their PWRON smart plug up for pre-order, but hope to have it added to the switchboard of all new homes in the future.
