After working in HR for over two decades, Dianne Newell has launched The People & Culture Link to help simplify HR for organisations and provide innovative, practical, people-oriented solutions balanced with commercial reality.
“The People & Culture Link was founded because I was frustrated with HR being too complex and challenging for business owners,” Dianne says.
“HR isn’t a one size fits all business, and business owners can benefit from engaging professional support to ensure they are compliant and building highly productive teams and skilled, empowered leaders who want to remain in the organisation.”
Having experienced all facets of HR as a small business owner and working in mid to large sized organisations, Dianne offers a collaborative, personalised approach, taking the time to understand the team’s needs and offering tailor-made solutions.
“I started in HR over 20 years ago when my husband and I owned a small business, and then spent the majority of my career in mining, higher education and small business,” she says.
“I am passionate about creating positive change in the workplace. I believe that by focusing on people and culture, together we can make a significant impact.
“I’ve seen first-hand how complicated and confusing HR practices can be and how quickly a workplace culture can become toxic, and it doesn’t have to be that way.
“At The People & Culture Link, we simplify the HR process and help businesses focus on the essential activities that get maximum results, while at the same time, building a team culture that enables open and honest conversations – without brutal honesty!”

Already working with businesses locally and nationally, Dianne is excited to be officially launching her business in Townsville this month.
“I have been laying the foundations for some time now, and I am really excited to officially open the doors and take enquiries from new clients,” she says.
