Townsville Enterprise, alongside program partners – Queensland Country Bank, are encouraging the rising stars of North Queensland to apply and join the newly launched North Queensland Future Leaders Program.
The Future Leaders Program, designed by Townsville Enterprise, aims to educate the next generation of regional leaders on the issues, opportunities, and challenges impacting Townsville North Queensland.
The program is a succession plan for the region, ensuring the skills, knowledge and talent within Townsville North Queensland are retained and developed.
Townsville Enterprise CEO, Claudia Brumme-Smith says the reinstatement of a refreshed leadership program for North Queensland fills a gap in ensuring the rising stars of the region remain and continue to build the future of their own backyard.
“Townsville Enterprise proudly delivered this program over a number of years, and while there was a pause during the pandemic period, we’re so pleased to bring this opportunity back to North Queenslanders in a refreshed format,” Claudia says.
“The program is all about sharing knowledge and upskilling our future leaders with the regional insights and supported mentor relationships they will bring together with their entrepreneurial spirit for the betterment of Townsville North Queensland’s future.”
“Townsville Enterprise’s role in delivering this program is to bring our region’s extensive network connections together and consolidate the significant industry insights and updates we have to share with tomorrow’s regional leaders.”
Program partner, Queensland Country Bank CEO, Aaron Newman says, “We take pride in our support for the future leaders of North Queensland via our sponsorship of Townsville Enterprise’s enhanced leadership program.
“We have been involved in this program since 2016 as we believe it aligns with Queensland Country’s unwavering commitment to foster the growth and prosperity of our local communities.
“Enhancing the skillset of our future leaders not only benefits Townsville but also catalyses progress across the entire North Queensland region, both in the present and for generations to come.
“The newly launched Future Leaders Program enables Queensland Country to play its part in supporting TEL to nurture exceptional talents, enabling individuals to gain invaluable experiences right here in Townsville and Northern Queensland, ensuring a robust and promising future,” says Aaron.
The Future Leaders Program will run for eight months, commencing February 2024. The Graduation event will be held at Queensland Country Bank Stadium in September 2024. The Program consists of seven, full day modules, which will focus on key themes of the Townsville North Queensland region.
